Matt Wilson
Missouri Governor Mike Parson appointed Adair County Prosecutor Matt Wilson as circuit judge for the 2nd Judicial Circuit, which includes Adair, Knox and Lewis Counties.
Wilson will fill the circuit judge vacancy created by the retirement of Russell Steele. He retired at the end of February 2022.
Wilson will serve the remainder of Steele’s unexpired term, which ends on Dec. 31, 2024, according to Adair County Circuit Clerk Linda Decker.
Wilson, of Kirksville, currently serves as the Adair County prosecuting
attorney. He has held that position since March 2010.
Corey R. Moon
Governor Mike Parson appointed Corey R. Moon as Associate Circuit Judge for the 2nd Judicial Circuit. He will fill the Associate Circuit Judge vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Fred L. Westhoff.
Mr. Moon, of Canton, currently serves as the Prosecuting Attorney of Knox County. He holds a bachelor’s degree in justice systems and political science from Truman State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law.
Rochelle Woodiest
Commissioner Rochelle Woodiest, of St. Louis, was appointed as Associate
Circuit Judge for the 22nd Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Woodiest currently serves as Treatment Court Commissioner for the
22nd Judicial Circuit. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Iowa State University and a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University. She will fill the Associate Circuit Judge vacancy created by the appointment of the
Honorable Thomas McCarthy as Circuit Judge.
