Mr. Todd Schwent was appointed to the position of District Administrator at District 7B, located in St. Louis, Missouri in May of 2013 overseeing the St. Louis City Specialty Courts as well as the Sentencing Assessment Unit. The St. Louis City Specialty Courts currently supervise over 340 clients which include Drug Court, Veterans Court, as well as the Felony Redirect Program which began in July of 2015. Mr. Schwent began his career with Probation & Parole in 1996 as a Probation and Parole Officer after graduation from Missouri State University. During his tenure as an officer, he primarily worked with Dangerous Felony and Sex Offenders. In 2005 he was promoted to Unit Supervisor and in 2009 began overseeing the St. Louis County Drug Court Program and assisted with the development of the DWI Court Program in St. Louis County. During his tenure in Probation & Parole Mr. Schwent has managed various projects to include the Deterrence Project, served on the Regional Audit committee, regional representative to the Missouri Probation & Parole Officers Association, representative to the Divisional Policy and Procedure Examination Team, and assisted in the development of the Automated Road Book for Probation & Parole. He currently represents the Eastern Region of Probation & Parole on the Divisional Technology Committee which is working on the MOCIS case management system transition. Mr. Schwent is also assisting in the development of a diversionary gun program in St. Louis City.
